We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of Engineering Manager for our operations in Houston, TX.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develops and implements ongoing engineering practices for all staff and operations
• Effectively communicates and instructs other departments on the engineering policies and procedures to drive improvement
• Develop and improve strategic objectives and processes including but not limited to all compliance and appropriate legal requirements; in coordination with operations and executive leadership
• Manage multiple projects at once; plan, arrange, organize and projects, and communicate status to internal and external stakeholders.
• Manages and drives improvements throughout the organization using data driven detection and prevention approach and quality tools such as; control plans, FMEA, flow charts, corrective actions, SPC, Six Sigma, Lean and 5s measures
• Collects, analyzes and presents metrics and improvement suggestions
• Lead audits and drives successful completion through the coordination of cross functional teams
• Leverage industry trends to proactively identify issues and opportunities to implement improvements
• Supervises employees to ensure they follow the company’s policies and practices, including; counseling, time approval, performance management, etc.
• Maintains appropriate staffing levels by following company’s talent acquisition processes and interviewing/hiring practices
• Responsible for meeting ISO 9001 and/or other quality system requirements in their department
• Other duties as assigned

Skills, Education and Training

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering related field required
• Master’s degree preferred
• 6 or more years experience in a related field
• 5 or more years management / supervisory experience
• 3 or more years experience in automated manufacturing environment with automation implementation/project management preferred
• Proficient English abilities required
• Email and written messaging with intermediate Excel knowledge
• Required certifications: Certified six sigma black belt, CQE
• Familiarity with electronics, laptops, computers and all subcomponents preferred
• Excellent time-management skills
